✦ Party Crashers
The portal appears out of nowhere. It’s a giant, opposing mass that, even though it obviously doesn't belong, seems to draw you in as though it’s meant just for you. You have two options; you can walk into it of your own violation, or be forcibly dragged into the unknown. Either way, you end up speeding through an endless void.
“It works!”
You hear the voice from somewhere in the distance and you lurch towards it, tumbling out into a brightly colored, unfamiliar room. The trip leaves you feeling woozy, making the world seem like a kaleidoscopic blur. Someone approaches, offering a hand to help you to your feet before moving on to someone near you. When your vision finally clears, you see Peppermint Butler stepping away from the last traveler, moving to Princess Bubblegum’s side as she smiles and waves to the small gathering of new-comers.
“Welcome, travelers! Good, you all seem to have arrived in one piece, so please do not be alarmed by the sudden change in scenery. I can assure you that everything is going as planned. Now, I’m sure you all must be very confused, so let the questions commence! ”

Hello! And nah, princesses are cool and all, but you know what's even better? A kingdom made out of candy! Now that's amazing!
[Translation: she's not as concerned about why she's here and how to get home like you are, Dipper.
Waddles wobbles over to Dipper's feet and begins to chew on one of Dipper's socks. Mabel laughs again and picks the plump pig up in her arms, hugging him tightly.]
Plus, they let me keep Waddles! So this place couldn't possibly be that bad.
no subject
Yeah, maybe....but we'll be better off once we're both back home. Let's just hope Grunkle Stan doesn't notice our sudden disappearance.
[Dipper glances briefly over his shoulder before pulling back his vest, just enough so Mabel can see the journal hidden inside.]
Look, I've still got the journal, see? I don't think it's going to help us here much, but I'm going to see if it says anything about being pulled randomly into alternate....universes.
[Gravity Falls hasn't ceased to surprise him yet.]
no subject
...Fiiiiiine. But I'm like 80% sure he hasn't even noticed we were gone yet.
[With one last huff, she looks over at the journal inside Dipper's vest and brightens a bit. Well, it appears they've both were able to keep their prized possessions.]
You think the guy who wrote it was pulled into alternate universes?
[Then again, if they could enter someone's mind because of some incantation, then she was sure it was possible.]
no subject
Ok, note to self: Check the journal to see if the guy wrote it got pulled into any alternate universes.
[He figures he'd just need to keep an eye out for where paragraphs abruptly end, though those are many. If he's lucky, the journal might detail something a little more specific.]
But even if Grunkle Stan hasn't noticed, it'll be better if we spend as little time here as possible. I'm just going to take a few notes on what I see here for future reference. Maybe you can ask the Princess if she'll let you take home a souvenir?
[Man, a camera is another thing Dipper wishes he had..]
no subject
Yeah! And I'll just remind you if you forget later, or something.
[At the mention of a souvenir does she perk up once more, grinning widely at the idea. Well, as much as she would love to stay in the Candy Kingdom, she supposes she would be content with a souvenir as a memory.]
You really think she'll let me keep something? Then I'll ask her! Maybe she'll let me take one of her citizens home or something. They're absolutely adorable, and I think Waddles is starting to get a bit lonely... He needs a friend!
[She's joking, of course. She wouldn't do that to them.]
no subject
Just what we'd need, something else to keep hidden from everyone. Knowing our luck Soos would find them and try to eat them anyway.
[Well....maybe not. You never really know with Soos.]
But seriously though...before we leave I'm definitely going to have a good look around. I guess it wouldn't make any sense to try to take any candy home to remember this place by...I mean, it's not any different from regular candy. ....Right?
[He pauses, lifting his foot to look down at the sidewalk. Peanut-brittle, looks like.]
...If you go sampling anything, just....maaake sure it doesn't have a face first.
no subject
Haha, yeaaah... I couldn't put them through that...
[She too looks down at the sidewalk below, then kneels down and licks it. She smacks her lips in thought and rises up onto her feet, nodding.]
Yup, it's definitely peanut brittle!
[She beams proudly as if licking sidewalks is a normal thing. Then again, this is the Candy Kingdom, everything's made out of candy. She has no shame here.]
And will do! I know not to eat the people, Dipper.
no subject
..Peppermint. Yep, looks like literally everything, from the houses to the ground, is some sort of candy or sweet. Which...I guess would be normal, for a Candy Kingdom.
[Still though...why? The fact that this place exists at ALL is baffling to the boy, and he knows even after they get home it's going to drive him crazy trying to find out just exactly why this place is here and how they got there in the first place. Bubblegum's explanation makes sense enough, but did her device really just bring random people in from random worlds?
He just couldn't help but be suspicious.
Dipper looks up when he feels someone suddenly nudge past him, then another. Candy children suddenly run through the street, lightly shoving past Mabel and Dipper as most children would, laughing and playing without a care in the world. All made out of candy such as gumdrops, butterscotch, and licorice. Dipper can feel his hands positively itching for a pencil to write down what he sees, so he can only hope that he won't forget once he can get his hands on one.]
Ok...where to first, where to first...
[He muses, before starting down the street, gesturing for Mabel to follow.]
This way!
no subject
[In all honesty, Mabel was hoping that the device to send them back home wouldn't be finished any time soon. She really enjoyed it here in the Candy Kingdom, and if it alone was this great, she could only wonder what the other regions in Ooo were like as well. Granted, no one could visit the other areas for the time being, but... she at least hoped that she would be able to see them before they had to return home. She's torn from her thoughts, however, when she feels several people poke past her and Dipper, and she looks over, eyes widening in adoration from the candy children. She already found the Candy People cute, but the children definitely took the cake.
She returns her gaze to Dipper as she hears him muse quietly to himself, then when he starts down the street and signals for her to come follow, she nods enthusiastically. Nothing better than an adventure with your twin brother. Given, it wasn't really an adventure than it was a tour, but she wasn't going to be picky.]
Coming! C'mon, Waddles!
[She gathers Waddles in her arms again and scurries to catch up with Dipper; when they're walking side-by-side, she slows her pace and simply walks next to him, a pleasant smile on her face.]
no subject
No wonder she's enjoying herself so much.
Immediately he notices how many strange looks they're getting from the other candy folk walking down the streets. Surely Bubblegum told them about their arrival, but of course Dipper and Mabel are some of the first humans other than Finn they've ever seen before. Not that Dipper realizes this, anyway.]
Man this place is huge....I bet this entire kingdom just stretches for miles!
no subject
Mmm... Probably, yeah! But hey, at least we're guaranteed food around us if we get hungry, right?
[...And guess who's laughing at her own joke.]
no subject
Yeah no kidding...but I think even you would get sick of candy after the first month, don't you think?
[Gosh Dipper isn't even sure he'd last a week on nothing but candy. Surely they have OTHER food here....right?]
no subject
[She can't help but wonder how everyone survives in the Candy Kingdom too. Is candy all they eat? Perhaps the Candy People, seeing as they're made out of candy, have a stomach only for candy and sweets? Well, in any case, she has the feeling that Princess Bubblegum wouldn't bring travellers from various worlds to her kingdom and not have necessities for them. Maybe in one of those treehouses she has set up for them? Speaking of which...]
Hey, Dipper, do you know where you're going to stay yet? In the treehouses or somewhere else or...
[Because wherever you stay, your twin sister is going to tag along. Sleepovers are always fun.]
no subject
[Oh yeah, Dipper's well aware. In fact, he probably wouldn't settle with Mabel staying anywhere else but with him. He's already lumped you into the equation, Mabel.]
At the most I'm guessing we'll only be here a day or two....but she made it sound like we would be going home right away, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
no subject
[Mabel finds it odd for there to be a group of treehouses prepared just for them if they were only going to be here for a short while. A day or two actually quite makes sense; she's sure that Princess Bubblegum wouldn't want to be burdened with housing her guests in her castle, but she hasn't the slightest clue. The anticipation's killing her, really.]
I guess you're right... Hey, didn't she say she wanted to learn about our world? ...Pffft, imagine telling her about all the adventures we had so far in Gravity Falls! I mean, there was the gnomes, Old Man McGucket's crazy robot, the evil wax figures, Gideon, the convenience store ghosts...
[Oh, the list could go on and on.]
no subject
[Dipper had been thinking about that ever since Bubblegum expressed her curiosity concerning the world they came from. To be honest, he wasn't exactly sure how much he was comfortable telling. Back home he'd be estatic to tell everyone about the mysterious goings on of Gravity Falls, and admittedly he could probably talk to the Princess for hours on end about his experiences....but after everything that happened, he'd begun to wonder about the consequences of too many people knowing too much. Things had gotten progressively dangerous for all of them during those last few days, culminating with Gideon summoning Bill, and then later getting the deed to the Mystery Shack.
What if the Princess intended to visit other worlds herself? If she brought them there....]
Well, either way, we'll just have to see what happens over the next few days.
no subject
Clearly this was the best idea.]
Thippuh! Mawel! Cheth it ouk, evweythink ith mage oth candy!
[No, not even the fact that the Pines twins just came into view could deter him from his quest to eat every piece of architecture. This place is dreamlike enough that he figures if he doesn't, it'll all just disappear. Clearly he was brought here on a mission.
A sweet one.]

[Dipper, consider your conversation with Mabel forgotten. She grins widely and rushes over to her friend, Waddles following behind her with a few soft snorts. When she's close enough, she simply stares up at Soos with bright eyes, clearly elated to see him as well as excited by his mention of the candy-ridden paradise they were in.]
I know! Isn't it great?! It's like... well, everything I've ever dreamed of!
[Which is mainly Dream Boy High, but she'll admit the Candy Kingdom, albeit lacking in cute boys, could top that fantasy in every way.]
